I started to create a fictional world, build characters to use in my artwork, inspired by a fellow artist who said it keeps them focused on creating. I do find I flit from one thing to the next, so I decided to start developing my own world.
I imagine a beautiful ring shaped moon encircling a body of water in a galaxy far far away from earth as we know it. Moon “Lunartara’.
It’s people, the Lunari.
The Lunari, ethereal beings with pearlescent blue skin, live along the inner and outer edges of this ring, their societies thriving in harmony with the cosmic energies that flow between the sea and the stars. Each region of the ring is distinct, with glowing forests, towering peaks, and shimmering plains, all interconnected by the oceanic currents that traverse the donut-shaped world.
I’ve started developing the first Lunari….
Since I started creating this world along with its characters, all has gone quiet.
Added to the pile of unfinished projects or ideas that for whatever reason I simply lost interest in.
I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to get back to where I left off soon. I believe that dedicating just one day a week to developing this idea would give me the space to truly think outside the box and create something purely from my imagination.
To be continued…….
